Raymond Townsend

RaymondRaymond Townsend was the first Filipino-American to play in the NBA. He played his college basketball career at UCLA under legendary coach John Wooden, and was a member of Coach Wooden’s last national championship team in 1975. He was initially drafted by the Golden State Warriors as the 22nd player in the draft. He was previously honored by the UCLA Pilipino Alumni Association with its Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award in 2009.
